Newbie Class

Start from the Beginning AND LEARN QUICKLY

Over the period of 10 weeks you will develop your drumming skills to a level that you never thought possible. To accomplish this we’ll meet once a week for an hour. Learning as a group will accelerate your progress. To enhance your learning process you’ll also be given practice materials, you’ll have access to podcasts of all the classes and I am always available to answer questions.

Of course while we do it we will have fun and focus on collectively de-stressing and becoming more healthy versions of ourselves. At the end of our journey together you’ll be ready to confidently attend any drum circle and jam with your friends. If you’d like to continue you can join the open enrollment class and join us for our performances.

Class Curriculum

• drum holding and hand positions

• two basic drums sound - bass and tone 

• simple rhythms to play at home or your next drum circle

• develop a sense of time

• multipart group rhythms will be introduced to enhance your ability to focus & concentrate

• add the "slap" to your repertoire of drum sounds

• answer "drum calls" from your group leader

Pricing

$250 for all 10 Weeks and includes podcasts of all classes. Class Dates: Mondays, October 18 through December 20

Don’t have a drum?

Loaner drums are available if you don’t have a drum.
