Drum Circles
A Celebration of Life, Community and music making in the Moment
What is a Drum Circle?
In a drum circle, participants sit in a circle while playing drums and hand percussion, and join in creating a group rhythm. The circle is "moderated" by a facilitator who guides the group in rhythms and rhythm-based activities.
Community Drum Circle
At a Community Drum Circle, I use drumming to create a fun filled, group oriented, social activity. It’s a rhythm party where there are no wrong notes and everyone has permission to make noise! The goal is to remove negative barriers by giving yourself "permission" to play and experiment. As a result you are able to let go and beat stress. Community Drum Circles are more spontaneous than Stressbuster Drum Circles and are enjoyed by all ages!
Embrace your community
It’s an opportunity to drum with friends, family and members of your community. Everyone is welcome. No experience necessary!
learn something new
We always begin with a drum lesson so you can be the drummer you’ve always wanted to be. Let your inner rhythms come alive!
overcome stress
We’ll use rhythm based activities to create unique beats and sounds. We’ll raise our rhythmic voices and then follow the sounds of a Native flute to reflect before we part company.
Stress Reduction Drum Circles….
Vibrational Wellness
In these circles I guide you through innovative relaxation techniques including Meditative Drumming, Focused Breathing, and Guided Imagery. After a brief drum lesson you’ll get permission to 'play' with others. You’ll have fun as your stress melts away.
Following the drumming you’ll be immersed in the Sound and Vibrations of crystal singing bowls and gongs. The inner journey is something to be experienced first hand. This experience will truly change your state!
The end result will leave you feeling rejuvenated and revitalized. These Drum Circles are more structured than Community Drum Circles and are geared towards adults.
MEDitative drumming
A repetitive drum rhythm that allows you to focus on the present and reduce or stop the chatter in your mind.
Focused Breathing
Guided and intentional breath cycles that slowly bring you into the awareness of your own presence.
guided imagery
A purposeful story designed to allow your imagination to create the scenery.
